The introduction to Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier, one of the most important works in keyboard history. Through his two books of 24 Preludes and Fugues, one for each minor and major key, Bach showed the world the possibilities of equal temperament, which is still used in almost all music written today, from classical, to rock, to pop. This concept of writing pieces in all 12 keys went on to inspire other composers too, from Chopin and Liszt, to Rachmaninoff and Shostakovich.

I really wanted to impress my friends and family with my piano skills, so I wrote a Liszt of pieces I could try to learn. I baroque my fingers trying to play some pieces that my fingers couldn’t Handel . I guess I’ll just have to go Bach to the easy pieces.
